I am passionate about working with adults and teens to heal trauma, reduce anxiety, and navigate difficult relationships. I also love working with kids who express anger and worry in big ways. I use play therapy to reduce anxiety and regulate big emotions. I do not think symptoms appear out of nowhere. We are products of our upbringing, relationships, and even the Netflix shows we binge. I check my ego at the door to bring insight, creativity, and humor. I am both a neurodivergent and gender affirming provider and have received advanced training in play therapy, complex trauma, and EMDR for kids, teens, and adults. View 3 Photos When working LGBTQ+ clients I utilize narrative, attachment, and collaborative therapy approaches to build internal resourcing on existing strengths. Too often, queer and trans people are told that something about them is “unlovable” or “too much”. My work is to change that narrative to something empowering and honoring of your right to exist and thrive. When working with kids with big emotions I use a child-centered play therapy approach. Some emotions are so BIG we cannot even talk about them. I inspire healing through the therapeutic powers of play. I employ art, sand tray, and storytelling techniques to help gain emotional regulation, process major events, build coping skills, and foster resilience.
