Everybody has a story. How we feel about and interpret that story has a significant impact on our quality of life and how we perceive the events that occur around us. In the therapeutic relationship, we’re given the freedom and support to explore the countless memories, experiences, and feelings that make us who we are. From that relationship we gain insight and understanding that allows us to be more intentional in not only how we act, but in how we feel about the important people around us. I’ve been fortunate enough to see this process occur with many individuals in community mental health and college counseling settings. In my opinion the best therapeutic success happens when two people work together over time to better understand one person’s internal world and how it influences them externally. It takes patience and trust but a therapeutic journey is always helpful to some degree. If you’re looking for a partner in that journey, then I’d like to hear your story! I'm also willing to supervise individuals seeking licensure.
