Dr. Behrman grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and went to private school in Amenia, NY, college in Ripon, WI, and received his Master's degree and Doctorate in 1987 from United States International University in San Diego, CA. Dr Behrman brings to Lifestance Health over 35 years of experience helping people with the questions, struggles, and challenges, as well as honoring the accomplishments, in their lives. He has worked as a staff psychologist in community-based social service agencies, in private practice settings and at the California State Correctional Facility in Otay Mesa. Dr. Behrman has also supervised, taught and trained psychology graduate students and thrives on working with people from all walks of life with a variety of concerns. Eric believes in an approach to therapy that looks at the connection between what a person is currently going through and the experiences they have had in the past that have consciously and unconsciously shaped how they see themselves and the world. Upon doing that, he then explores a solution oriented process that is developed collaboratively.
