About

Emma sees therapy as a relational and collaborative process, where there are opportunities to learn from both sides. In her work, Emma pulls from a feminist, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive perspective. She utilizes relational, client-centered, emotion focused, and strengths based approaches within her therapeutic work. Creating a warm, welcoming environment full of humor and free of judgment is Emma’s main goal. By incorporating art and movement into sessions, she aims to create a space that is comforting for both mind and body.

Operating from a social justice framework, Emma views clients as the professionals of their own lives, and aims to hold space and understanding for people with identities similar and different from her own. Emma is a queer- identifying provider, and works around a harm reduction model, with the goal of personal improvement, not perfection.

Emma has previous experience working in school based and non-profit settings, and has familiarity with adolescents and young adults from diverse backgrounds. Emma is working under the licensed supervision of Paige Love, MSW, LICSW, while completing her masters in social work. In her free time, Emma likes to escape into a good book, video game, or tv show.
