Emma is an engaged, detail-oriented provider who practices from a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. Her compassionate, non-judgmental, & direct approach allows her to support people beginning therapy for the first time, those who have struggled to connect with mental health providers in the past, as well as those who have experience with therapy. Emma uses psychoeducation to empower clients to understand symptoms & how symptoms impact behavior, relationships & self-esteem. She emphasizes the importance of therapist-patient collaboration to create goal-oriented treatment plans that consider each client's unique needs Emma utilizes CBT- and DBT-based interventions to identify and address patterns in thoughts and behaviors that may contribute to worsening mental health symptoms. Emma successfully treats clients who are experiencing, but not limited to, the following challenges: Anxiety & Panic, Life Transitions, Health Anxiety, Women's Issues, ADHD, Self-Advocacy & Self- Esteem, Mental Health Symptoms Exasperated by a Medical Condition. In addition to treating clients at Evolve Psychotherapy, Emma is an adjunct professor at Boston College, where she supports and educates graduate-level counseling students & emerging clinicians in the field of behavioral health.
