Emily (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts who has over fifteen years of experience working with children, teens, and young adults seeking help with depression, anxiety, life transitions (college, graduate school applications), trauma and coping, and building healthy relationships. She uses play therapy as a vehicle to connect to children, and believes that a structured approach to goals is helpful in the therapeutic relationship. She is passionate about having clients connected to resources such as therapeutic groups, mentorship, and developing hobbies. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Saint Lawrence University in New York, then attended the University of Georgia School of Social Work and then joined Boston Public Schools as a special educator and therapist in 2012. Emily seeks to create a flexible working relationship with clients built upon collaboration, strengths of the client, positive behavior change, and meaningful relationships. She has both in person and teletherapy services through Power of Connection, in Brighton MA. Emily is committed to her clients of all ages, and is well versed in the educational process.
