Emily Sands is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), who specializes in working with couples, teenagers, and individuals. I understand the importance of connection and acknowledge that change is the driving force of life. I use a strengths-based, interactive, and direct approach to support my clients in navigating life's transitions and strengthening their connections. I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am largely informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based treatment modality. I am a certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator and have experience providing pre-marital counseling. I am passionate about working systemically with individuals, couples and families. My use of humor, coupled with my direct approach, allows my clients to view themselves, and their lives, from a different perspective. I view our therapeutic relationship as a space for you to safely explore your ever-evolving thoughts, values, emotions and relationships. I work best with clients who are engaged and motivated to learn about themselves.
