I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received my Graduate degree from the joint Clinical Social Work program of NC Agricultural & Technical University and University of North Carolina Greensboro. I completed my undergraduate degree in child development and early education. I transitioned from a teaching profession to a graduate level Social Work study in 2013. I am now the site leader at CBT Counseling Centers of Greensboro with over nine years of experience working with individuals of all ages and across one’s lifespan. I have a passion for working alongside individuals who are seeking support to successfully cope through and reduce symptoms of acute and chronic anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, perfectionism, behavioral noncompliance, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, impulsive behaviors, anger reactivity, and attachment complications. I successfully implement evidenced based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill building, motivational interviewing, solution focused strategies and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to meet the individual needs of client’s and help client’s meet identified goals and outcomes.
