About

How we view ourselves greatly impacts how we feel and interact with the world around us. The most challenging part about this is that we often are not fully aware of how we view ourselves, or how this impacts us, or what to do with the information after we learn this. I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for people to increase self-awareness and build the skills to use this awareness to their advantage. I specialize in anxiety and mood disorders. I aim to assist people in shifting their relationship with stress, anxiety, depression and other unpleasant emotions to move forward with their goals.

I primarily use a humanistic approach where we can build off your unique strengths, however, I will pull from other approaches as needed (cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavior skills, mindfulness therapy). I also work well with people in the LGBTQ+ community and people with ASD.

Therapy can be an intimidating or daunting task, rightfully so. You do typically face unpleasant emotions and experiences that can feel uncomfortable, vulnerable, or scary. I aim for a balanced space of being with the unpleasant experiences while also finding a sense of comfort and safety. If it sounds like I could be a good fit for you, reach out!
