I strive to support people in learning to managing difficult phases of life and tough emotions so they can be the best version of themselves. I have been trained in and feel comfortable with a wide array of therapy modalities in order to provide services that best fit my clients' individual needs. Though I recognize the uniqueness of my clients, I also work to view them holistically as individuals within cultures, communities, and systems that influence the person they are. I am especially passionate about helping those who have recently moved to the U.S. and are adjusting or re-adjusting to the culture here. I am a social worker specializing in Trauma and the Latin/o/a/x community. I speak English and Spanish fluently and have received certifications in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EDMR) treatment which is a Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) amongst others. I work in a small group practice, Vitality Counseling Services, LLC, with my long-time colleague, Cedrin Vera, who I initially met years ago working in Miami's Child Advocacy Center with survivors of abuse. Please do not hesitate to reach out to find out more about us, our virtual practice, and what we specialize in to see if we could be a support for you.
