Over the course of a lifetime, everyone needs help. Seeking help is often difficult because of the unrealistic cultural expectation for self-reliance. It is strength, not weakness, that allows one to seek help in times of confusion or distress. Working together, I will help you find the perspectives, that will allow you to overcome the barriers and struggles that keep you from being the self you want to be. I work with adults, adolescents, and families using evidence-based treatments that provide a safe non-judgmental therapeutic experience, and a focus on increasing access to the resources that help you enjoy your life. Additionally, I keep in mind that people require different approaches, in consideration of their unique temperament and life experiences. In this process I will learn who you are and adapt to what you need. In the end you will gain the insight and skills to manage emotions, circumstance, and relationships in the way you deem appropriate. As a therapist, I love that I get the opportunity to witness the client make a positive change in their life. It may be hard to picture how things could be different, but when we work together, you will begin to see the possibilities and improve your quality of life.
