About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in working with adults from a mindfulness based perspective. I believe that therapy can help you make meaning of pain, struggle and confusion in order to let go of suffering and find purpose in all the phases of life. Every moment of pain presents an opportunity for growth into deeper self-awareness, enhanced relationship intimacy and life fulfillment. I integrate concepts from psychodynamic, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy and the major meditative traditions to address your individual needs.

I was on the Columbia University Faculty for many years before pursuing full time private practice. People work with me for many reasons including: anxiety, low mood, self esteem, relationship issues, family of origin issues, mood swings, impulsivity, sexual orientation, gender concerns, spiritual/religious concerns and professional clinical supervision.

I provide an open, non-judgmental space for individuals of any race, culture, religion, ability, gender or sexual orientation to begin to explore important life questions and develop new ways of being and coping. I am happy to speak with you by phone to discuss your needs, set up an appointment, or provide a referral. I am an out of network provider.
