Accepting new clients! I am a board certified Clinical Social Work Intern. My passion is working with clients toward their empowerment, healing, and transformative change. Before becoming a therapist, I worked with survivors of interpersonal, structural, and state violence for over two decades as a lawyer, and walked with many clients through significant life changes and challenges. As a therapist, I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach to working with clients of all backgrounds. I specialize in working with adults, teens (15-older), and LGBTQIA+ persons. I have experience working with clients on issues including childhood abuse, dysfunction, and attachment trauma, sexual abuse, religious trauma, domestic violence, substance use, depression and anxiety, emotional disregulation, eating disorders (anorexia and bulimia), grief and loss, and life transitions. I believe that our mental health challenges make sense based on our experiences and emotional learnings and that healing is possible. My training in multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches allows me to propose and select treatment options that are responsive to your concerns, preferences, and goals. I invite you to email me for a consultation.
