About

Hello there! My name is Elizabeth Jensema and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Wisconsin, working with clients in WI, MO, and MI. I have been practicing social work for the last 20 years. I enjoy helping adults struggling with mental illness and addiction. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to empower clients with the tools they need to move forward in a positive direction.

My approach to therapy is always client specific depending on each clients needs. Most often I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients reframe their thoughts and emotions so they can move forward in a positive direction. I provide support and guidance while clients are on their healing journey, incorporating humor and fun along the way.

My approach to goal setting with clients is often client-driven. I like to take time to get to know my clients and build trust, allowing the space and time needed to feel comfortable sharing openly. Over time, we will work together to set goals that are most appropriate for what the client wants to accomplish while in therapy.
