About

Does your child struggle with accepting the word “no”? Do they act out in ways that causes you as a parent to feel overwhelmed and uncertain of how to help your child? Does your teen feel worried about little things that cause big problems? As a Trust-Based Relational Practitioner, I use play approaches to help children identify and express emotions. Through play a child can understand that emotions are not bad. They can also find ways to express their emotions in appropriate ways. This can help them become more confident in their interactions with the world around them.

From children who struggle with overwhelming emotions to those adjusting to life transitions, I help them find their voice and become more comfortable with expressing how they feel and what they need. I help parents and caregivers to learn ways to help their child become more confident. I also help anxious teens and young adults manage their fears.

I know “counseling” for any age can be scary so I try to create a safe place and environment for my clients by using techniques that are “fun”. We all have worries, but when the worries seem to control your life it can be overwhelming. Through counseling, I help children and teens find ways to manage their fears and worries so they can live fully.
