About

Throughout childhood, children express themselves much better through play than by talking. The process of play therapy creates an environment where children do not have to talk directly about their sadness, anxieties, worries, or problems. Instead, children express themselves symbolically through their play; they communicate their conscious and unconscious feelings and experiences and in doing so, see that difficult feelings and memories become less intense and that they are able to work through and find solutions to their problems.

As a play therapist, I provide a therapeutic environment for your child that encourages healthy growth and development, improves self-esteem, allows self-expression, facilitates problem-solving, supports the development of self-control and teaches healthier ways of interacting with others.

I believe that through this relationship and with respectful collaboration from the child's support network, positive changes in behavior and mood can be achieved.
