It can be a gratifying experience examining different facets of your life and reflecting on how your role in the world evolves. Figuring out your place and considering your identities can be a challenging and curious endeavor. There might have been times when you were not allowed to express your true self either due to family or societal pressures. With that can come feelings of shame, guilt and fear over how you move through your day to day and how you interact with others. Creating a steady sense of who you are is an ongoing process and therapy is a great place to begin to figure this out and help you navigate your life with ease. We'll get to the root of some questions that you may be pondering: How do you see yourself? Is it the same way others see you? What are your values? In answering these, we will examine what is important to you and what is getting in the way of feeling secure in your identity. We will work to shed beliefs that no longer serve you and strengthen those that do. Therapy is a place for you to be heard and validated in a way that aligns with your beliefs and values. Its an outlet to express what makes you unique. For a fruitful therapeutic experience, I will provide a peaceful space that is full of curiosity, compassion, flexibility & some humor.
