There are times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed, unmotivated, and disconnected. We lose sight of who we are and what we want. It is my belief that all humans are capable of growth and contentment. That, through practicing self-awareness and self-acceptance, we are able to re-examine beliefs, behaviors, and patterns of protection that keep us from connection and creating joy. I utilize an integrated and relational approach to work with clients on becoming "unstuck" from anxiety, depression, trauma, body image issues, relationship concerns, challenging life transitions, impacts of oppressive systems, and limiting beliefs. I incorporate Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Embodied Recovery, the Safe and Sound Protocol, Therapeutic Yoga, Systems Theory, and other somatic and trauma-informed approaches. These, along with a healthy dose of humor, are intended to help clients achieve regulation and resilience via the mind-body connection and explore new ways of existing in the world. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Expressive Arts Therapist, Somatic Therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I also hold 200 hour certifications in Hatha and Kunga Yoga, as well as advanced certification in Restorative and Trauma-Informed Yoga.
