About

I have been providing psychotherapy to clients in my private practice, hospital environments and college environments for over 35 years. I received my PhD from Tulane University and formerly held an adjunct professor position at Tulane. I help individuals discover resiliency, confidence, meaning and coping skills in the face of life transitions. Whether you face relationship issues, career difficulties, adjustment to high school or college, professional development, or if you are facing a challenging situation, I can provide help and support. My office is located within walking distance of Tulane and Loyola University. View 7 Photos

My goal is to help you develop a greater sense of hope and well-being. My specialty is helping clients deal with stress and trauma. My Doctoral dissertation is titled "Case Studies of Transforming Trauma." Through extensive research I found that although trauma and life transitions may cause pain, adversity can lead to greater strength.

I help individuals of all ages and life experiences deal with feelings of anxiety and depression. For over 16 years I was on the staff of Tulane Health Center Department of Psychiatry and worked predominantly with college students to help them navigate the pressures of university life. I also help young adults make independent and professional decisions.
