The therapeutic relationship is one of the key components in therapy. One of my goals is to make sure the client and myself have a good rapport which can make the transition into therapy less stressful. I approach each client as an individual based on the needs and concerns presented. I utilize a variety of theoretical perspectives in order to best fit the client. My theoretical experience includes CBT, mindfulness based, Adlerian and trauma- informed.
Having over 10 year’s in the mental health field, I have worked with diverse populations with a wide range of diagnoses. This experience brings me comfort in working with clients that present with multiple concerns or diagnoses. My experience is with both adults and teenagers. I focus on adaptive coping, trauma resolution, identity formation and empowerment.
I believe that healing is a process not an event and should be achieved overtime. I enjoy building a compassionate and empathetic forum for clients to move them forward from a trauma informed perspective.
