About

Every single person has something with which they struggle. Whether its anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship concerns, or just feelings of being stuck or wanting more. Most of us need a place where we feel safe and secure enough to be able to delve into these parts of ourselves that we find unpalatable, frustrating or downright scary. I am an addiction and psychiatric therapist with a history of working with substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, anxiety/depression and a variety of other "wellness issues."

I am trained in ACT, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems Theory, Narrative therapy and take a direct and experiential approach. I believe in coping skills education as much as deep psychodynamic therapy. I worked for many years in a behavioral health hospital and received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.

I workto build a rapport that allows you to feel safe enough to explore your internal world. I am happy to do a phone consultation and to see if we might be a good fit. I hope to help you find freedom.
