PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES: Dr. Velma "JEAN" Stanley, Owner & Clinical Director of Pathways Forensic & Mental Health Services, PLLC, Dr. V. Jean Stanley, LPC-S, LSOTP-S provides both court-related and NON-court-related counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. More specifically, the forensic component of Dr. Stanley's practice involves the application of psychological research, theory, and clinical practice to the legal/criminal justice system. As such, she provides consultations, and is available on a case-by-case basis to serve as an expert witness in sex crime cases. She provides counseling for sensitive issues such as pornography addiciton, hypersexuality, marital infidelity, and help with non-offending spouses impacted by the criminal behavior of family members. She also provides pre-and post bariatric surgery counseling as well as pre-surgery psychological evaluations. Dr. Stanley does court-related "forensic" pre-trial and pre-sentence sexual risk assessments; and she is one of few practitioners Certified by the Texas Council on Sex Offender Treatment to administer Deregistration Evaluations for those State-approved to be evaluated to come off the s/o registry.
