Finding the right therapist is sometimes the hardest part of the counseling process. The challenge of matching a therapist's personality and approach to counseling with a client's needs can sometimes feel like trial and error, but is a vital part of the process. I believe that the start of any new relationship, therapeutic or otherwise, begins with building rapport and simply becoming comfortable with each other. Once established, the real work can begin. I have been working with individuals, couples and groups since 2007. My clinical focus is largely working with Gender, Sexual, and Romantic Minorities (GSRMs), including open/polyam/kinky relationships. I hold a PhD in Clinical Sexology, dual certification as a Sex Therapist (AASECT & IICS), and certification as a Queer and Transgender Affirming Professional I have a great passion for helping others learn to practice compassion and love towards themselves. Learning to accept and celebrate who we are - event the parts we aren't proud of or would like to change - is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
