About

"The life of the human soul is not a 'being' but a 'becoming' " ~ Alfred Adler My work is based on the belief that people desire to be happy, effective, and content in their lives and that they have within themselves the resources to achieve these goals. My therapeutic goal is to help you evolve toward your greatest potential. I believe that psychotherapy can help individuals most effectively use their resources to increase self-understanding, improve decision-making, solve problems, and create healthier paths to the lives they desire.

I have a passion for working with children and adolescents. Unhealthy coping skills lead to maladaptive behaviors - including cutting, drinking, drugs, and promiscuity. Catching these behaviors early in life is key to ensuring they do not become life-long problems. I've found great joy and success treating these individuals.

My doctorate includes both clinical psychology as well as forensic psychology, which means that I am specially trained in psychological testing. Psychological testing is done in both the clinical setting, to help individuals better understand their strengths and weaknesses, and the forensic setting: Child custody, 730 court evaluations, and court recommendations...
