Are you having a difficult time coping with an event, situation, or just life in general? I provide a non-judgmental, respectful, supportive and empathetic environment that is centered around you. I believe it is important that you are heard, valued and understood on your journey. I know that change can be difficult, therefore I utilize evidence-based treatments that are tailored to your individual needs and personality. Collaboratively, we can work towards accomplishing your goals wherever you are on your path of healing, self-empowerment, and growth. My areas of specialty include trauma, grief/loss, substance use, stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and self-esteem. I have worked as a firefighter, a trauma/crisis counselor and as a professor, training mental health counselors at Wayne State University. I know that it can be difficult to reach out for help and to trust someone enough to open up. Therefore, I believe it is important to build a collaborative, non-judgmental and respectful environment where I can help you work towards living your best life!
