It seems nearly impossible for folx to live honestly, freely, and unabashedly in today’s world. As a Black and queer therapist, I am dedicated to resistance; I help folx to get honest with themselves and others, to use their values to shape life goals, to unlearn restrictive mores that have aided in their oppressive, and to live a more liberating and affirming life. I have expertise in treating issues related to internalized homonegativity, sexual addiction and shame, and gender (dysphoria, identity, and expression). My additional focus areas include regulating depression, anxiety, and negative self-talk, improving interpersonal relationships through communication and skills building, and improving insomnia. I clearly and compassionately use alliance, goal setting, and evaluation in therapy to assess clients' challenges, validate their identities and navigations, and promote strengths and values-based living. My goal as a clinician is to assist clients in using the challenging therapeutic journey to spring into healing and wellness. I'm excited to work with you!
