About

BIPOC - Have you experienced loss or adjusting to change? Life comes with loss and change: the death of a loved one, the loss of health, a break-up. Dealing with any loss and adjusting to major change often negatively affects us, and our emotional well-being and coping habits are sometimes compromised as a result. It is easy to fall into depression or develop anxiety if our coping is not managed and nurtured appropriately. I’m glad you are taking steps to process what change or loss means to you. As an Asian American Filipina, I provide culturally competent therapy services to those managing dual/multi cultural/BIPOC identities. View 3 Photos

I am an empathetic and sensitive therapist who has worked in hospice care for two years providing end of life therapy and grief&bereavement counseling. I worked as a medicine hospital social worker for four years providing therapy to those diagnosed with cancer and veterans with a history of addiction in recovery. I provide custom mindfulness recordings.

It can be scary to reach out to someone and process emotions and challenges. I’m glad you are taking the steps to process what you are going through. www.talkitouttherapy.com We have other therapists who practice under Melissa's license that accept sliding scale fees. Call to inquire.
