Dr. Meghan B. Morris, Director of Mind Garden Therapy New Mexico, LLC, envisions the therapeutic process like tending a garden in which seeds are planted in our minds: we are able to nurture our environments to allow growth and change in ways that see our dreams and potential flourish like flowers. She has extensive experience in working with survivors of sexual and physical abuse, worked for many years with refugees and genocide survivors overseas, and has expertise in working through the traumas of complex and forced migrations. She also sees a growing number of clients struggling with difficult pregnancies and births. Dr. Morris has a PhD and MSW from UC, Berkeley. She also has a Master’s in International Social Work from the University of East London in the United Kingdom. Dr. Morris is a multi-lingual therapist (Spanish, Portuguese and English). She specializes in working on concrete skills for managing symptoms of trauma, depression and anxiety. Dr. Morris sees therapy as a journey filled with hope that facilitates opportunities to overcome challenges and transform in ways that feel sustainable. She works with clients on concrete skills and changes to thinking that allow them to see concrete changes, much like blossoming trees.
