About

The dignity of your goals. The beauty of your process. The pride of your results. Clients describe me as calm, warm, and direct. With 30 years of full-time, post-doctoral experience, I quickly get to the heart of the matter. What do you need and want in your life? We will make a plan to help you move toward it. I work best with those who want to grow, are curious and can be patient. I help you find YOUR answers. Are you stuck? How do you block yourself from moving forward? I can help you see yourself in a new context, re-think, and learn tools. I also see kids/teens for grief or mood problems, using play and expressive therapies.

My areas of focus are mood problems (dep, anx., anger, irritability) conflict w/ self or other, grief/loss, survivors of suicide, coping with change, assertiveness/boundaries, stress & burnout-recovery esp. for professionals, work/life balance, becoming "unstuck" i.e.., reaching the next level of your potential. How are you blocking yourself from your goals?

My most valuable tools in my work are my life experience and my mental health. I have worked hard in my own therapy throughout my career to have the insight and awareness I need to help you go further. Returning to do my own therapy regularly gives me the sensitivity I need to connect compassionately with you, while challenging you to take risks, move, grow.
