I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of professional experience working with clients on how to develop and improve coping strategies to better manage the stress arising from our hectic daily lives. From confronting longstanding issues to managing short term challenges, I work with clients of all cultural backgrounds to better understand themselves and the choices they make. I am an empathic and warm therapist who is dedicated to helping clients lead more peaceful and healthy lives, and developing the capacity to identify patterns and insight to improve self image and relationships with others. I enjoy working with those who have curiosity regarding the underlying reasons why they do what they do. Together, we can explore where you come from, where you are, and want to go. I have extensive experience in working with people grappling with anxiety, perfectionism, self-defeating behaviors and fluctuating self- esteem. Prior to private practice, I was a psychologist at Columbia University Medical Center's Student Health Center, a supervising psychologist at the counseling centers at Barnard College and Columbia University, and taught at the graduate level at The College of New Rochelle.
