I have dedicated my professional career to treating individuals, couples and families through a systemic lens. That is, I do not view the client as having pathology within the self. Rather, I view the client within context whereby interactional and relational patterns are learned. I specialize in relational therapy, where I assist clients in developing emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. I have 16 years of experience working with diverse populations including: chemical dependency, residential and acute psychiatry, marital and relationship issues, parent-child issues. I take the time to get to know my clients. I view my clients as being the "expert" of their lives and as having the resources to change from within. I take pride in building strong therapeutic alliances whereby meaningful dialogue can take place. I honor vulnerability, honesty and transparency. I take a humanistic approach to therapy and invite all aspects of the client into the room. I strive to ensure my clients feel heard and validated. Finally, I do not believe I have all the answers, but rather, we can find them together.
