In addition to counseling, I enjoy teaching. In counseling I have the opportunity to teach my clients new skills to better their mental health. I believe that it is easier for individuals to learn about new information if it is presented in conjunction with something they already know. I enjoy working with my clients and seeing them grow, learn new skills to be assertive, self-confidence, and achieve their goals. I work in a person center manner and often use DBT, CBT, and postmodern approaches; narrative therapy. “Long story short, I survived.” We all have stories and we are capable of being survivors.
