Success of therapeutic change begins with the relationship between you and your therapist. I believe effective change grows from a foundation of trust, respect, and the understanding of your desire for self-improvement. I work with you collaboratively to identify areas of concern while providing support throughout the counseling process. You have unique experiences that shape who you are, and how you respond to situations. I believe in helping others understand how these experiences influence their responses in the present. Using CBT and DBT modalities, I assist with recognizing what works well, and what areas have opportunity for improvement. Positive change can begin by recognizing behaviors that are no longer serving you well, what maintains those behaviors, and appropriately challenging them when ready. This knowledge can help one move forward with new skills and improved effectiveness. I provide a comfortable, non-judgmental, and caring environment, and currently working with adults, couples, and LGBTQ populations. At this time, all sessions are being conducted through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
