I believe that healing happens in relationships where we can truly be seen, understood, and valued for who we are. I will be a warm and compassionate presence for you as we work together to identify your needs, goals, and values. Then comes the challenging and liberating part: utilizing that knowledge and awareness to help you build the life you want. Based on your concerns, we can integrate a variety of trauma-informed practices such as self-compassion, mindfulness, parts work, and cognitive/behavioral (e.g., ACT, CBT) therapies. I highly value collaboration and invite you to explore and share with me what works best for you. I use an intersectional feminist multicultural approach, which means that I incorporate critical awareness of how systems of oppression (e.g., racism, capitalism, transphobia) serve as chronic traumas and often force us to disconnect from parts of ourselves and each other. I bring my whole self to the therapy space, using a relational/interpersonal lens. My specialties include sex therapy and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I also have expertise in reproductive mental health, including post-partum, pregnancy loss, and abortion. I love working with individuals and couples/relationships around communication, identity exploration and affirmation, trauma, depression, stress, anxiety, and life transitions.
