Dr. Dunia Karana Zebari is a clinical psychologist with extensive education and training in evidence-based psychotherapies. She received a BA degree from Oakland University, obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy, and completed a 3-year NIH research fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She specializes in treatments of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and insomnia disorders. Dr. Zebari has extensive experience in couples treatment. Dr. Zebari works collaboratively with other health care providers including primary care, obstetrician gynecologists, and psychiatrists to provide optimal patient care. Dr. Zebari tailors treatment approach to fit the needs and wellbeing of her patients. She works with her patients to not only address psychological distress but guide them to live the life they want to live directed by their personal values. Dr. Zebari works with adults in individual and couples therapy with clinical interest in couples and family relations as well as military mental health experiences during and post service.
