About

I enjoy working with young people and adults as they move along their paths of self-discovery and become the best version of themselves. Throughout the life journey, challenges are presented which offer each us to opportunity to grow. In the process of growth, we contend with uncertainty and often experience discomfort. A variety of therapeutic tools such as eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and action methods can be utilized in order that adults and adolescents, can be supported as they navigate the unknown paths related to past events, current challenges and future desires.

My background includes twenty-five years of teaching in the area of special education in which I was privileged to work with parents, teachers, and students. I seek to enhance the lives of individuals who encounter a wide range of relational, intellectual, emotional, and behavioral issues including anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and trauma.

I possess a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. I hope to utilize my skills and provide an atmosphere of unconditional positive regard to build a trusting relationship which enables clients to push through difficulties and navigate the uncomfortable space where transformation takes place.
