Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Georgia with 20+ years of experience working in the mental health field, also licensed in UT for the past year. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, past trauma, grief/loss, aging and coping with life changes My counseling style is warm and interactive with humor as appropriate and will occasionally have a furchild joining us in session (yours welcome also). I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, without a focus on labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, client centered therapy and motivational interviewing, DBT, mindfulness, whatever tools I think may be most beneficial for the person I am working with. I believe in meeting people where they're at and do my best to tailor my approach to ones individual needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I frequently remind clients that the journey of 1000 miles begins with that one step.
