About

Dina Aladort is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting clients ages 18 and over suffering from mood disorders, depression, stress, anxiety, life transitions, sleep or insomnia, coping skills, and relationship issues. I am trauma-informed, relationally focused, and compassionate, drawing from many modalities to fit my client's differing and unique needs. I typically work with clients ages 18 and over suffering from mood disorders, depression, trauma, stress, anxiety, life transitions, sleep or insomnia, coping skills, and relationship issues.

I rely heavily on active listening, empathy, and the ability to clearly convey information and provide feedback. It is important for me to establish trust and rapport with my clients. Collaborative goal setting, customized strategies and regularly reviewing goals are what I have found to be the most helpful with my clients.

I believe that goals should be broken down into small, realistic steps that are likely to be achieved. Goal achievement builds momentum and a sense of self-efficacy, whereas unrealistic goals can lead to stress, discouragement, and giving up altogether.
