About

“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is Optional.” Family dynamics, traumatic experiences, life challenges/ transitions, chronic illness, as well as our own cognitive, emotional, and biological vulnerabilities may sometimes cause us pain. However, the way we perceive, think and cope with these situations and susceptibilities can sometimes exceed that of the actual events, and may eventually lead to prolonged suffering and interfere with life satisfaction. Recovery—from any significant condition or life challenge—is a gradual, progressive, and ongoing process of restoring balance in mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual functioning.

I am a bilingual psychologist who uses a whole health approach in treating mental health. My specialty in treating the mind and body comes from my training in psychopathology and neuropsychology. I truly believe that people need to be enabled, empowered, and equipped to take charge of their health and well-being and to live life to the fullest.

Through assessment, education, and evidence-based treatment modalities, my approach to psychotherapy is a holistic one. As a culturally sensitive clinician, I aim to create a collaborative environment where you transform self-criticism to compassion, helping you feel empowered to guide the pace of your own healing and life goals.
