About

Hello. I believe choosing to begin counseling is a sign of both courage and hope. To me, engaging in therapy means that you realize that feeling better is a possibility for you. In our work together we will explore your thoughts, feelings & actions in a curious, compassionate and sometimes even playful manner. Together we will discover ways for you to understand yourself better, maximize your strengths & make positive changes in your life. My particular areas of interest include working with teens (17+) & adults facing relationship issues, grief/loss/critical illness, life transitions, anxiety, depression &/or parenting challenges.

I hold an MS in Counseling & a Certificate of Expertise in Family Systems from the University of Southern Maine; I completed clinical mental health internships at the New England Family Institute & the EAP at L.L. Bean. I utilize Person-Centered, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal & Play-Therapy techniques.

In addition to my counseling work, I was the Tender Living Care Program Manager at the Center for Grieving Children from October of 2016 through November of 2019. I have been a classroom teacher, the art director at a day camp, & for the past 23+ years, a parent.
