As a therapist, former school teacher, and mom, I am deeply invested in the emotional well-being of our young people. My greatest goal in counseling is to give children, teens, and young adults the tools to cope with life's challenges as well as the confidence in themselves to know that they can. Struggles with anxiety, depression, negative self-esteem, academic/work pressures, anger, and family/friendship/relationship issues can all seem that much more overwhelming when we are young. I am passionate about helping young people and families manage these issues now, and helping to set them up for success as they grow. View 3 Photos I specialize in using Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge and change negative thinking patterns and to adopt healthier, more realistic ones. I have seen this type of therapy work in countless people's lives, including my own. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help with psychological flexibility. I believe everyone has strengths they can build upon while also working to improve areas of weakness. What better time to start this work than in our younger years? I look forward to helping you and/or your child embrace resilience in the face of life's obstacles and to live life in full bloom!
