My approach to psychotherapy is one that is collaborative, integrative, and affirming. I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is a primary factor in therapeutic change. What that means is that you must feel as though I am a good fit to help you achieve your goals. Although my work primarily focuses on LGBTQ+ issues, I also believe in the value of taking a relational approach within therapy to examine our behaviors as they arise in session to determine one's patterns of relating. I believe that if given an affirming space to explore these dynamics, it can help facilitate change leading to a more meaningful life. I have specialized training related to LGBTQ+ concerns. I offer a validating & affirming environment to explore one's identity, whether that is related to gender identity or sexual orientation. My work focuses on the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ population to help clients struggling with significant emotional distress, minority stress, and identity formation. My goal is to provide a safe space to explore yourself and achieve your goals. My hope is to be able to individualize your treatment, one where you can live a fulfilling life. Please do not hesitate to reach out and consult with me on whether I would be a good fit for you.
