Hi, I am Dr. Debra McCreary. After working in the public school setting as a classroom teacher, professional school counselor, and Pupil Personnel Worker for 30 years, I decided to retire in 2019. I went on to complete a PhD in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior and then obtained my LCPC in Maryland. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to identify I use an eclectic approach in therapy so that therapeutic modalities and treatment can be tailored to the individual needs of each client. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing or the specific things you would like to see changed in your life. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. With over 30 years of experience working with young people and their families, I have developed an extensive knowledge of the challenges facing young people today. I have extensive knowledge of the educational system and strategies that can be implemented to help foster success both in and out of the school setting.
