About

Many of us find ourselves confronted with challenges, sadness and/or destructive patterns that require increased self-awareness to overcome. I use a varied approach to address the individual needs of my patients in a compassionate, nonjudgemental, and empathic environment. I have helped people struggling with issues spanning anxiety, depression, eating disorders, transitions, loss, and trauma, among others. We will work together to explore the root of your struggles through guided questions and by challenging prior assumptions.

My approach is based on 30 years of clinical experience, graduate training at NYU, postgraduate psychoanalytic training, and extensive supervisory experience. I have helped adults of all ages and couples increase their understanding of themselves and in doing so, overcome life hurdles preventing them from finding joy and fulfillment in their daily lives.

Together, we will dig deeper, and ask the questions necessary to foster awareness and self-acceptance. I bring humor and a commitment and belief in the effectiveness of the therapeutic process to the work that I do. Through personalized methods, I work with you to overcome your most pressing challenges and create significant, lasting change.
