About

My practice was born out of a tradition of commitment to children. From familial and professional roots I have witnessed the value of creating a safe space to allow children to explore and grow. Beginning my career as a teacher, I have watched and marveled at the ways in which children learn and flourish in nurturing environments. As a child therapist I have also seen children suffer when their needs go unmet.

Excellent services exist in this community, however the needs for our children are great. As I have learned from my mentors and teachers, it is critical to meet the needs through thought and action. My practice is attempt to assist children and their families through diverse and specialized services.

My play based approach allows children of all ages to talk about important issues while "playing" with an art project, engineering project, or other materials in the room. I find that many children that I see need help and a "safe place" to work through the difficulties that face them.
