My name is Cory O’Neal, LMFT 121993. My approach to therapy is grounded in experience and theory. I practice Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed, DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Grief and use Motivational Interviews with single adults, couples, and young adults. I believe in the human spirit to grow, change, and learn. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I work with all types of clients: young adults and adults. I have life and professional experience in adoption, multicultural relationships, divorce, grief, disabilities, separation, racial inequity, and parenting. I feel comfortable with family or couples therapy, trauma-informed therapy, motivational and solution-focused, anxiety, depression, life changes, communication, or anger issues. I am trained in T-FCBT, Nurtured Heart, Parent Project and have worked in K-12 schools most of my life. My therapeutic environment is created to be warm and inviting. I use assessments and interviews to come to an understanding of what my client’s preferences and experiences have been in therapy prior. I ask their expectations and their discomfort in therapy, if they’ve been in therapy prior.
