About

I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Issues I address: interpersonal conflict, negative body image, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, depersonalization/derealizaiton disorders. Common issues that are typically addressed: life transitions, dealing with a new medical diagnoses, problems within relationships, parents struggling to communicate with their children, children/adolescents having academic or social difficulties, personal or social isolation, difficulties managing day to day life. I am licensed in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

I have extensive experience working across various clinical settings. I specialize in creating individualized treatment plans for my clients as there is not a "one size fits all" plan. The goal in therapy is to help clients learn to verbalize their needs so they are better able to cope and communicate and ease their day to day difficulties.

I believe that a therapist can only take you as far as they have been able to take themselves. Throughout my own journey I have found the best way to navigate life is through a daily practice of mindfulness and gratitude. I practice from a psychodynamic approach while integrating holistic, existential, and CBT/ACT interventions.
