About

I enjoy working with all kinds of people. Doing work on past trauma, depression or anxiety is hard work, and I respect and admire people who are willing to do it. Like physical health, mental health isn’t a one shot, once a week thing. I encourage clients to integrate self-care in ways that make sense to them. Life can be challenging. Things like anxiety and depression don't go away entirely. We change our relationship with them. We practice kindness with ourselves and others. When we feel depressed or anxious, we practice self-care. The work that I do will help you to learn compassion and understanding with yourself and others.

I use 2 modalities for most clients. One is Internal Family Systems, also known as parts work, and The Work, created by Byron Katie, a method of questioning thoughts that create stress. Through both I can help you to understand and work with the roots of trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also use mindfulness techniques, understanding dreams, and heart math.

Therapy is hard work. My work goes beyond listening and understanding you, although I will do that. I use techniques/methods that will help you get to the root of your suffering. I can't promise total relief, but I can promise tools that are helpful. Both IFS and The Work are proven effective for trauma, anxiety and depression. Email me for a free consult.
