*****NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS...FORMER CLIENTS AND FIRST RESPONDERS FEEL FREE TO CALL*** Most mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and anger are results of life stressors. You can expect a full assessment and treatment plan at your first session. I truly believe that you have all the answers to your problems and I will help guide you to the solutions. I utilize a trauma-informed care framework to my practice. Sometimes past traumas and losses can impact and/or compound current life stressors, further exploration of past issues can be explored to gain insight, and to explore more advanced coping skills. ******NO AVAILABILITY***** If you have developed bad habits/addictions (substance abuse, gambling, sex, food, spending etc.) in order to cope with stress, alternative coping strategies will be explored with a relapse prevention plan developed. I use a solution-focused strategy to develop a treatment focus. If there is any ambivalence I will use some motivational interviewing techniques. Interventions will also involve cognitive-behavioral therapy and a family system perspective. After an assessment I specialize in the one-session anger management plan development.
