I work from a trauma-focused, strengths-based somatic and relational perspective to help you release shame via self-compassion. I view even the coping mechanisms that make us feel the most stuck as examples of our bodies’ incredible resiliency & drive to keep us safe. Within the therapeutic dynamic, I seek to help you identify and unlearn harmful cultural conditioning and, with the courage of authenticity, uncover your own innate wisdom. To me, therapy is a place where we can explore creative self-expression and practice intentional relationship building in order to live more authentic, joyful, and embodied lives. Harm lives in our bodies, and healing, therefore, must be embodied, too. I am Level One certified in sensorimotor psychotherapy, an evidence based and body-centric therapy that will support you in moving toward mind-body-spirit integration. I am also a certified holistic sex educator, and believe that our erotic lives are rich ground for profound healing. Early on in our work together, I like to get a sense of who you are, though I recognize that opening up to someone new can be vulnerable and often intimidating. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, welcome your feedback, and recognize that while I have tools to share with you, I am not the expert in your life & your healing - you are.
